About Living Hands

Living Hands Foundation is nonprofit organization conceived to encourage the habit of savings amongst its members thereby empowering them to achieve more.

This foundation started 10 years ago (in 2003) with a 25-membership slot and has metamorphosed through the years to over 7,000 membership slots today and still counting.

Living Hands Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization
duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of
Nigeria in 2019 with registration number 133129.

We have a strong passion to see women and mothers
empowered enough to support their families. Over the years, we
have encouraged and supported women and now men
inclusive in building a healthier savings culture.

We are always very delighted to see smiles on the faces of our
members who are usually full of surprise for how much they
have been able to save over time.

Our goal is “Touching lives, one after another “

 OUR HISTORY

The vision started in 2014 with a few women from the St Mary’s Anglican Church Lagos with the aim of teaching women how to save, start up business(es) and also to provide food on their table most especially during the festive period.

It was initially known as St Mary’s Women’s Organisation Thrift, an informal association which was fueled by the passion of the visioner Lady Ifeoma Okafor.

The success of the association and the overwhelming benefits enjoyed by its members led to an alarming increase in it’s membership base.
This increase gave birth to Living Hands Foundation which currently has a membership base of over 7,000 men and women

At LHF, members are encouraged and motivated to contribute a target amount monthly for a period of 12 months. At the end of the year, each member is refunded in bulk which can help birth their dreams.
In addition to their refunds, they also get various gift items such as bag(s) of rice, cartons of tomato pastes, noodles, detergent, cornflakes, vegetable oil etc.

LHF also conducts free medical check-up exercises, business fair as well as various seminars and workshops aimed at empowering its members to become better.
